"Sleeka Walrus" ECWRS was highly appreciated by mountain special units operators, hunters and fishermen thanks to its exceptional warming characteristics. The main purpose of the suit is to be used as an intermediate insulating layer between underwear and outerwear (camouflage suit or other suit of durable material).
In addition, the cut of the suit allows you to use it as well and on top of the upper garment in cases when you need to quickly warm up. When combined with the appropriate thermal underwear, a suit provides warmth and comfort during low mobility activities at temperatures down to -25 ° C, while not burdening the user with any significant weight and without restricting movement.
These exceptional characteristics are achieved by using high-tech light insulating materials such as Thermolite® and Thinsulate®. The inspiration for the development of Thermolite® fiber has become the fur of a polar bear which is hollow inside the fiber and thus is excellent heat insulator. Engineers have taken the concept of the hollow fiber as a basis for the development and embodied it in an easy and flexible material capable of storing heat in the harsh climate. Thinsulate® Insulation consists of very thin microscopic fibers, each 50-70 times thinner than a human hair.
